PART A – PLATFORM MODEL AND ROLE

SCE Marketplace operates a digital platform where Customers can post service requests (“Requests”). These Requests are distributed to Professionals who offer the relevant services. Professionals may choose to respond using platform credits.

Any agreement for services is made directly between the Customer and the Professional (“Service Contract”). SCE Marketplace:

  • does not employ Professionals
  • does not supervise or control service delivery
  • does not guarantee the quality, legality, safety, or outcome of services
  • does not validate the accuracy of information provided by Customers or Professionals

SCE Marketplace provides facilitation services only, meaning we introduce Customers and Professionals but do not participate in or oversee the resulting Service Contract.

PART B – CUSTOMER TERMS

Eligibility

Customers must be at least 18 years old to use the platform.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must ensure that all information provided in Requests—including contact details, service descriptions, and location—is accurate and complete.

Customers acknowledge that:

  • Professionals spend credits to respond to Requests
  • Incorrect or invalid contact details may prevent Professionals from making contact
  • SCE Marketplace may attempt to verify contact details before distributing a Request

Matching and Contacting Professionals

When a Customer submits a Request, SCE Marketplace uses an algorithm to identify suitable Professionals based on factors including:

  • service category
  • location
  • profile completeness
  • activity level
  • subscription package
  • customer reviews

Customers may receive responses from multiple Professionals and are responsible for assessing suitability before entering into a Service Contract.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer law.

PART C – PROFESSIONAL TERMS

Independent Contractor Status

Professionals operate as independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of SCE Marketplace.

Professional Obligations

Professionals warrant that they:

  • hold all licences, insurance, qualifications, and permissions required to lawfully provide their services
  • will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • are solely responsible for pricing, performance, and service delivery
  • will handle all disputes directly with Customers

Content and Licensing

Professionals retain ownership of any content they upload but grant SCE Marketplace a non exclusive, royalty free, worldwide licence to use such content for platform operation, marketing, and service facilitation.

Indemnity

Professionals agree to indemnify and hold harmless SCE Marketplace from all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • their services
  • their content
  • their breach of these Terms

PART D – PAYMENTS, CREDITS AND REFUNDS

Credits

Professionals may purchase credits to respond to Customer Requests. Credits:

  • have no cash value
  • are not redeemable for money
  • cannot be withdrawn or transferred

Payments

All payments made to SCE Marketplace for credits, subscriptions, or paid features are non refundable.

Credit Refunds (Non Monetary Only)

Where a Customer provides incorrect or invalid contact details and a Professional uses credits to respond, SCE Marketplace may, at its sole discretion, issue a credit adjustment.

Credit adjustments will only be considered after SCE Marketplace has attempted to contact the Customer using the details provided and has been unable to do so.

SCE Marketplace does not provide:

  • monetary refunds
  • withdrawals
  • chargebacks

Any refund issued is strictly in the form of platform credits.

PART E – ILLEGAL CONTENT AND ONLINE SAFETY

SCE Marketplace does not pre moderate all content but takes reasonable steps to identify and reduce illegal or harmful content.

Illegal Content Includes:
